I'm 6'2", 225 lbs with a bad back.Comfort was my number one priority but I also wanted something I could ride long distances. The Lux 3i is the perfect bike for both purposes. It's super comfortable for taller riders and the three gear system is great for long distance riding. Lux means it comes with balloon (i.e. bigger) tires and a nicer seat. The bigger tires look great and provide extra traction. Not sure it does much to cushion the ride, as the salesperson claimed. The seat is great. I've ridden this bike three hours at a time without a soar butt, back, or knees. However, this bike will not ride on sand, even hard-packed sand. The tires don't have enough tread to dig and will slip. I wouldn't recommend riding this bike on very wet, muddy, or sandy surfaces. This is primarily a bike for paved trails. The 3i is for the 3 speed internal gear system, which is awesome! It works quietly and smoothly. In 3rd gear the bike can reach speeds in the high teens per hour, more than enough for most uses and riders. The 1st gear is great for climbing hills, 2nd gear for cruising, and 3rd for speed. I could envision using a 4th gear when I'm really pumped up and want to ride really hard and fast. But three gears is more than enough 95 percent of the time. I was reluctant to spend so much on a cruiser but I'm happy I did. This is a great, quality bike. It's built very well and seems a lot tougher than cheap, department store competitors. I keep mine indoors but just by the fact that it has no chrome components should tell you this bike will withstand sun and water damage better.
